2016 NAIA Women's Golf All-America Teams Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2016 NAIA Women's Golf All-America teams, as selected by the NAIA-Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America Committee. A total of 45 student-athletes were honored, with 15 individuals being named to the first, second and third teams.
National runner-up William Woods (Mo.) led all programs with five individuals on the All-America teams. The Owls were represented by Celia Mansour (first team), Katie Warren (first team), Jodie Peacock (second team), Andrea Agniel (third team) and Myriam Hassan (third team).
Keiser had four golfers represented, Caroline Retabi (first team), Elsa Westin (first team), Rebecka Homstrom (first team) and Sabrina Schloo (second team.)
Bellevue (Neb.), British Columbia, Dalton State (Ga.), Oklahoma City, SCAD Savannah (Ga.), Wayland Baptist (Texas) and William Woods (Mo.) each had three golfers achieve All-America status as well, while two other programs had two individuals recognized.
Cumberlands (Ky.) Kaitlyn Riley, the 2016 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships individual medalist, headlined a pair of Patriots alongside Constanze Sieker that were named All-Americans. Riley tied for the lowest 18-hole score in NAIA Women's Golf National Championship history with a 68.
Twenty-one individuals are making at least their second All-America appearance. Sofia Molinaro of SCAD Savannah and Lauren Kruszewski of Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) are the only three-time First Team All-Americans recognized this year.
Brandon Miller of Keiser was named the 2016 NAIA Women's Golf National Coach of the Year. His Seahawks ran away with their third national championship in program history, carding a 23-over-par 599 to win the national crown by 11 strokes at Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler, Ga., on May 20.
