2017 NAIA Women’s Golfer of the Week No. 3 (April 5)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Cassidy Scantland of Campbellsville (Ky.) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Scantland was selected based on her performances from March 27 – April 2 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

• Scantland’s two-round score of 70-73—143 (-1) helped lead the Tigers to a first-place team finish as she earned medalist honors at the William Penn Invitational in Silvis, Ill.. 
• Scantland’s one-under 143 set the new tournament-low score.
• She won the tournament by eight strokes, extending her career total for tournament victories to 13.
• Named the Mid-South Conference Golfer of the Week.
