NAIA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week - No. 1

KANSAS CITY, MO. - Anna Shields of Point Park (Pa.) has been named the NAIA National Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the National office announced Tuesday. Shields was selected for her performance from Aug. 28 – Sept. 3 and was selected out of a pool of conference/association of independent institutions award winners.

  • Ran a school-record time of 17:19
  • Broke her previous best time by 1:01
  • Finished first out of 77 runners at NCAA DII Walsh Invitational
