KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Vashti Nwagbaraocha of William Penn (Iowa) was named as the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced the national office on Tuesday. Nwagbaraocha was selected based on her performances from January 8-14, and was chosen out of a pool of conference group winners.

5-11, Jr., F, Milwaukee, Wis.
• Nwagbaraocha captured her first player of the week award during the 2017-18 season as she helped her team to a 2-0 week with wins over Grand View (Iowa) and Culver-Stockton (Mo.).
• Weekly Stats
o Averaged 25.5 point a game
o Averaged 13 rebounds a game
o Shot 0.655 percent (19-29) from the field and 0.722 percent (13-18) from the line
