2018 NAIA Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week No. 5 (March 27)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Shannon Flaherty of SCAD Savannah (Ga.) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Isabelle Vickers of Lawrence Tech (Mich.) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. The duo was selected based on their performances from March 19 - 25, and were chosen out of a pool of conference and unaffiliated group winners.

Offensive Player of the Week
Shannon Flaherty, SCAD Savannah
5-2, SR, M, South Burlington, Vt.   

  • Flaherty led her team in goals against both then-No. 2 Cumberlands (Ky.) and then No. 8 Georgetown (Ky.)
  • Weekly Stats
    • 12 goals
    • Three assists
    • 16 shots on goal

Defensive Player of the Week
Isabelle Vickers, Lawrence Tech (Mich.)
5-4, SR, M, Rockford, Mich.

  • Vickers posted a week-high of 11 ground balls against then-No. 9 Marian (Ind.).
  • Weekly Stats
    • 14 total ground balls, 7.0 average
    • Five caused turnovers
    • Also contributed nine goals and nine assists
