  • 6:30 - 8 p.m. - Ike Pearson Awards Dinner (location off-site at Orange Tree Golf Club - Orlando, Fla. Round-trip transportation will be provided from Marriott to/from Golf Club)

Monday, June 9 (at World Center Marriott Resort, Orlando: Key West Room): 

  • 8 a.m. - Welcome / Introductions
  • 8:30 a.m. - NAIA National Office Update
  • 9 a.m. - State of the NAIA-SIDA & Board Meeting
  • 10 a.m. - Daktronics Presentations (Sam Martens)
  • 10:30 a.m. - 50 Years of NAIA-SIDA; Then and Now (Scott Cummings, McKendree (Ill); Mark Womack, Cedarville (Ohio); Kevin Keys, Liberty)
  • Noon - 1:45 p.m. - CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame Luncheon - This will be a sit down lunch for only those who have registered for CoSIDA Convention. All others who have only registered for NAIA-SIDA will be responsible to get lunch on their own
  • 2:15 p.m. - 50 great Photoshop and InDesign tricks
  • 3:15 p.m. - Not your average social media panel (Aaron Sagraves, Davenport (Mich.); Steve Wilson, Park (Mo.); Brad Cygan, Missouri Baptist)
  • 4:15 p.m. - Final Panel Session (TBD)

2013-14 Committees

Committee on Committees
The Committee on Committees will be made up of the NAIA-SIDA Board and will be responsible for determining the committees needed to help the organization to function effectively. This committee is also responsible for assigning committee chairpersons and for the recruitment of new committee members based on the needs of each committee.

New Media Committee — Chair - Geoff Sherman, Marian (Ind.)  
The New Media Committee will serve to educate members on the emerging new media platforms, providing best practices and continuing education opportunities to assist in maximizing the technologies and resources available on each campus. Key mediums such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, podcasts, live video streaming, and blogs will be the focus of the New Media Committee. (Board Liaison - Jay Stancil)

History, Records & Honors Committee — Chair - Josh Gleason, Goshen (Ind.)
The History, Records & Honors Committee will work together with the NAIA National Office to gather historical information into a useful format that will then be used to compile national records. The committee will also make recommendations to the National Office regarding official NAIA honors. (Board Liaison - Sam Ghrist)

Branding Committee — Chair - Brad Cygan, Missouri Baptist 
The Branding Committee works on behalf of NAIA-SIDA to assist in the development of strategic communication plans to help execute the branding and marketing strategies developed by the committee and the NAIA National Office. (Board Liaison - Ron Smith)

Workshop Committee — Chair - Cindy Potter, Columbia (Mo.)
The Workshop Committee plans and implements programming for the annual NAIA-SIDA workshop and is chaired by the NAIA-SIDA board's vice president. The committee also works closely with the NAIA National Office to stay within a reasonable budget for workshop costs.

Publications Committee — Chair - Chris Megginson, Campbellsville (Ky.)
The Publications Committee orchestrates the annual NAIA-SIDA publications contest, helping to secure contest coordinators and judges, as well as supplying the NAIA National Office with lists of award winners. The committee also searches for and considers new ideas for potential items to be added to the slate of NAIA-SIDA publications categories. (Board Liaison - Aaron Sagraves)

Technology Committee  — Chair - TBD
The Technology Committee helps to provide resources to the NAIA-SIDA membership in the areas of publication design software, website content management, statistical software and other technological advances that will help NAIA-SIDA members stay ahead of the technological curve to better function in their campus sports information offices. Statistical Committee — Chair - Jo Jo Freeman, Cumberland (Tenn.)
The NAIA-SIDA Statistical Committee focuses on accurate, timely statistical record keeping through monitoring statistics reported by NAIA institutions and by educating NAIA sports information departments on best practices, tips and statistical techniques. (Board Liaison - Steve Wilson)
