NAIA Hires Manager of Communications and Sports Information

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Alan Grosbach as Manager of Communications and Sports Information.
Grosbach joins the national office with over three years of athletics communications experience. He will work closely with Chad Waller, Director of Communications and Sports Information, in collecting and distributing information to assist with brand awareness and increase perception of the NAIA, membership, national championship events and student-athletes.
Grosbach’s main responsibilities will include maintaining the NAIA Web site, working with the NAIA’s social media platforms, coordinating the production of all publications and serving as media coordinator at selected NAIA National Championships.
“We are very happy to have Alan join the NAIA Communications team”, said Chad Waller, Director of Communications and Sports Information. “He is eager to be involved and will fit right in to the NAIA culture. He brings a wonderful array of talents specific to athletic communications and branding and I am excited for membership to meet him at various events.”
Grosbach previously served as the Assistant Athletics Director/Athletics Communications Director at McPherson College in McPherson, Kan. Grosbach directed media relations efforts as well as assisting the athletics director with the strategic direction and budget for the athletics department.
Grosbach holds a Bachelor of Science degree from McPherson College and a Masters of Education from Wichita State University (Kan.). Grosbach is a native of Gladstone, Mo.
