KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has revealed the 2016 NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance All-America teams, the national office announced Tuesday. Athletes perform stunts in front of the qualifying competition judges and receive scores based on the quality of their routine. The performers must accumulate a predetermined score in order to achieve All-America status.

Baker (Kan.) led all schools with four athletes named All-America in the dance category. East Division winner, St. Ambrose (Iowa) and Aquinas (Mich.) (East Division runner-up) had two athletes named to the list each.

On the cheer side, South Division winner Oklahoma City led all teams with seven athletes named and Midwest Division winner Martin Methodist (Tenn.) had four athletes awarded All-America status.

Competitive Cheer and Dance is in its second year of invitational status by recognizing their first all-Americans. The 2016 NAIA Competitive Cheer & Dance Invitational will take place on March 11-12 at the Quad City River Center in Davenport, Iowa.
