2016 NAIA Men?s Golf All-America Teams Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2016 NAIA Men’s Golf All-America teams, as selected by the NAIA Men’s Golf Coaches’ Association All-America Committee. A total of 45 student-athletes were honored, with 15 individuals being named to each of the three teams.
Three teams – Johnson & Wales (Fla.), Keiser (Fla.) and William Woods (Mo.) – leads the pack with four All-America selections each.
2016 National Champion Oklahoma City had three players earn All-America status, all on the first team. Anthony Marchesani highlighted the talented trio with his fourth All-America selection – 2015 (First-team), 2014 (First-Team) and 2013 (Second-Team). Matthew Cheung earned his third All-America appearance – 2015 (Second-Team) and 2014 (Third-Team) and Rupert Kaminski makes his All-America debut.
Repeat First-Team All-Americans include: Peter French of Johnson & Wales (Fla.), Marchesani, Billy McKenzie and David Houlding of William Woods.
Thirty players are named All-Americans for the first time.
There were 18 seniors, 12 juniors, nine sophomores and six freshmen named to the three lists.
