NAIA Menís Soccer Players of the Week Ė No. 1 (Sept. 6)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Hayden Dees of Mobile (Ala.) has been named the NAIA National Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week and Alex Durbin of Dordt (Iowa) has been named the NAIA National Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday.

National Offensive Player of the Week
Alex Durbin, Dordt (Iowa)
6-2, Sr., Forward, Omaha, Nebraska

• In three matches last week, recorded six goals and one assist, tallying 13 points in two victories.
• Has had a hand in all but one goal scored by Dordt this season.
• Has now scored a goal in each of Dordt’s four games this season.
• Stands with eight goals and an assist on the year, which is leading the NAIA.
• Is just three goals shy of his season-high in goals – 11 in 2015.
• First career NAIA National Offensive Player of the Week award

National Defensive Player of the Week
Hayden Dees, Mobile (Ala.)
6-0, Sr., GK, Fairhope, Ala.

• In the only game of the week, Dees made six saves for a shutout win at seventh-ranked Columbia.
• Four of his six stops came in the second half of the match.
• In just four games played this season, Dees has 13 saves and only six goals allowed.
• First career NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week award.
