Day 2 Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship

GULF SHORES, Ala. – [RESULTS] The Outdoor Track & Field National Championship continued on Thursday with 11 more champions recognized at the Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores, Ala.


Heptathlon – Chelsea Baker, Friends (Kan.), 5120 points

Decathlon – Pieter Top, Westmont (Calif.), 6833 points

Women’s 5,000m Race Walk – Anali Cisneros, Judson, 24:26.79

Men’s 5,000m Race Walk – Anthony Peters, St. Ambrose (Iowa), 21:01.10

Women’s 4x800 Relay – British Columbia: Sandra Kilmartin, Mikayla Tinkham, Nicola Symonds, Natalia Hawthorn; 8:43.83

Men’s 4x800 Relay – Indiana Wesleyan: Chad Ellens, Noah Stratton, Michael Olson, Joshua Neideck; 7:31.71

Women’s Shot Put – Kylie Davis, Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), 15.61m

Men’s High Jump – Georges Chery, Florida Memorial, 2.14m

Women’s Triple Jump – Cheyenne White, Indiana Tech, 12.30m

Men’s Long Jump – Goabaone Mosheleketi, Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), 7.51m

Men’s Discus – James Plummer, Grand View (Iowa), 54.00,


  • Heptathlon champion, Chelsea Baker, was also the pentathlon champion in the Indoor Track & Field Championship in 2018 and 2017.
  • Women’s 5,000m race walk champion, Anali Cisneros also won the 3,000m race walk competition at the 2018 Indoor National Championship.
  • Three years in a row Westmont has had a champion in the multi-events: 2016 and 2017 heptathlon Becky Collier, 2018 decathlon Pieter Top.
  • Cheyenne White of Indiana Tech finished first in the triple jump and second in the long jump.
  • At the end of day two for the men, Bethel (Ind.) leads with 18 points. Hastings (Neb.) follows with 16 points.
  • At the end of day two for the women, Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) leads with 20 points. Indiana Tech follows with 18.
  • Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) has two champions from day one and two: women’s hammer and women’s shot put

The NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship will proceed into the final day of competition on Saturday. The day will start with the marathon at 6:00 a.m. at the Orange Beach Sports Complex.
