2012 Menís Golf All-Americans Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2012 Men's Golf All-Americans. Golfers were selected by the All-America committee. Fifteen student-athletes were named to each the First, Second and Third Teams.

2012 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships individual medalist Carson Kallis highlights the list of All-Americans. Kallis took home the O.D. Bounds Medalist Trophy by moving from a tie for sixth after three rounds to the top of the leader board (70-74-69-71-284) with a final round six-under 66 to win the tournament by one stroke over Texas Wesleyan's Nathan Anderson, who also is a First Team All-American.

National Championships team titlist Oklahoma City placed James Marchesani and Clark Collier on the first team and Michael Palmer and Taylor Artman on the second team. The Stars four All-Americans were the second most by national runner-up Oklahoma Christian's five honorees.

Repeat First Team All-Americans include the Cumberlands' (Ky.) Aaron Watkins, Oklahoma Christian's Logan Herbst and Marchesani. Collier and Oklahoma Christian's Preston Wilkins were second team choices last season.

Nineteen of the 45 First/Second/Third Team All-Americans are seniors, 13 are juniors, 10 are sophomores and three are freshmen.
