KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Brandon Davis of LSU Shreveport (La.) (photo courtesy of Bill Wood Photography) has been tabbed the NAIA National Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Davis was selected based on his performances from Dec. 31 - Jan. 6 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated groupings.

Davis, a 6-foot-3 junior forward from Pomona, Calif., made a splash in his first collegiate game as a Pilot. In the 115-85 victory over Huston-Tillotson (Texas) on Jan. 5, he finished with 31 points, 20 rebounds, five assists and three steals. He shot 12-of-21 (.571) from the field, including 3-of-5 (.600) from long-distance.

He is just the ninth player in Division I to record 20-or-more rebounds in a single game.
