The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Prevention Strategies as the official online student learning partner of the NAIA.

The partnership between Prevention Strategies and NAIA utilizes myPlaybook, an online tutorial program designed to increase awareness of the substances banned by the NAIA and the specific health impacts of those substances. myPlaybook is an evidence-based suite of wellness programming aimed at reducing alcohol and other drug use, reducing sexual assault, and promoting life skills among collegiate student-athletes. During the year, student-athletes can access myPlaybook and complete all of the required courses at their own pace. Funding for the development and evaluation of myPlaybook was provided by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).

“Prevention Strategies is a leader in the health and wellness industry and will be instrumental in providing the tools our institutions need for unbiased and customized drug education,” said Jim Carr, NAIA President and CEO.

“We are honored to work alongside the NAIA to provide myPlaybook to all NAIA student-athletes,” stated David Wyrick, President of Prevention Strategies and Director of the Institute to Promote Athlete Health and Wellness. “The NAIA is demonstrating tremendous commitment to the health and well-being of their student-athletes and we are thrilled to partner with them in this effort.”
