2016 SUMMER UPDATE

August 22, 2016

NAC Motion: Eliminate final regular-season rating in wrestling. APPROVED

NAC Motion: Seed the top-12 individuals in each weight class. APPROVED

NAC Motion: If the ratings grid is shared via a traceable source, the rater will be removed immediately. APPROVED

NAC Motion: The Qualifying Standards Committee will set a procedure for placement of teams each year in Qualifying Groups. Each qualifying group will be determined by the most logical regional alignment geographically, while keeping the number of teams in each qualifying group as even as possible. Conference alignment will be taken into strong consideration. The number of teams in each qualifying group shall not exceed three teams over the region average (number of total teams divided by the number of regions rounded to nearest whole number). The number of teams in each qualifying group shall not go below two teams under the region average (using the same formula). If a region needs to be modified due to growth in the division we will alter them based on logical geographical and conference alignments. DENIED

NAC Motion: Include numbers 31-40 in at-large voting as alternates in case of injury or disqualification of a wrestler. DENIED

NAC Motion: Place the following schools in these regions if they declare Varsity for the 2016-17 season:

MARIAN (IND.) - Midwest
LOURDES - Midwest
CENTRAL CHRISTIAN - South
EASTERN OREGON - West
REINHARDT - East
ALLEN (S.C) - East
KANSAS WESLEYAN - South
ST. MARY'S - South

DENIED: The requested allocation of new teams is accepted as the qualification plan
