KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the fourth-straight week, Concordia (Ore.) takes the top position in the fifth regular-season edition of the 2012 NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced Tuesday. Identical to last week, the Cavaliers, who are 7-0-2 on the season, received 20-of-21 first-place votes and 591 total points. The rest of the top-five remains where they were previously with No. 2 Lee (Tenn.), No. 3 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), No. 4 Oklahoma City and No. 5 Mobile (Ala.) rounding out the quintet.

Sixteen teams shuffled throughout the Top 25 with No. 11 Vanguard's (Calif.) six-spot improvement the largest amongst the group. The Lions successfully rebounded from two-straight losses two week ago with back-to-back shutouts at then-No. 9 Westmont (Calif.), 2-0, on Sept. 25 and Hope International (Calif.), 3-0, on Sept. 29. Carroll (Mont.) was the only other team with a positive multi-position movement in this week's poll, leaping two spots to No. 20.

In contrast to Vanguard, Westmont suffered the farthest fall from No. 9 to No. 15 after the aforementioned loss to Vanguard. However, the Warriors righted the ship with a 2-0 victory at San Diego Christian (Calif.) on Sept. 29. In addition to Westmont, Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) rival Concordia (Calif.) experienced a slide of greater than four places as the Eagles dropped five spots to No. 19.

No. 25 Indiana Wesleyan is the lone newcomer this week. The Wildcats, who replaced last week's No. 25 Ashford (Iowa), boast a 9-1-0 record and are riding a five-match win streak. The ranking is the first for Indiana Wesleyan since garnering the No. 20 position in the Sept. 20, 2011 poll.

Twelve conferences/independent/unaffiliated groups are represented throughout the Top 25, led by four programs from the Southern States Athletic Conference - Lee, Mobile, No. 7 William Carey (Miss.) and No. 12 Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) - and the GSAC - Westmont, Vanguard, Concordia and No. 22 The Masters (Calif.).

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conference/independent/unaffiliated groups. The next Top 25 will be announced on Oct. 9.
