Dickinson State University (N.D.) has renamed its football and track and field stadium, formerly the Badlands Activities Center, the Henry Biesiot Activities Center after longtime Blue Hawks football coach Henry Biesiot.
In his 37th season, Biesiot is a member of the NAIA Hall of Fame and is among the winningest coaches in NAIA history. The facility, formerly known as the Badlands Activities Center, is home of the Dickinson State football and track programs.
The facility was renamed Oct. 6 after the Blue Hawks Homecoming game. Biesiot noted that it was not simply his accomplishments but the work of many others that had led to his successful career and to the naming of the center in his honor.
"It shows a lot of people are doing something right," Biesiot told The Dickinson Press. "It's certainly an honor."
