Women’s Swimming & Diving Coaches’ Poll – No. 2
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Oklahoma Baptist collected four first-place votes and tallied 28 points to capture the No. 1 ranking in the second edition of the 2012-13 NAIA Women's Swimming & Diving Coaches' Poll, the national office announced Tuesday. This is the Bison's first No. 1 rating of all-time.
Oklahoma Baptist claim the top times in eight different categories including: 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter freestyle, 1-meter six-dives, 3-meters six-dives, 200-meter freestyle relay, 200-meter medley relay, 400-meter freestyle relay and 400-meter medley relay.
Receiving the last first-place vote and coming in at No. 2 is SCAD Savannah (Ga.), as it collected 22 points. Falling from No. 1 to No. 3 is Cumberlands (Ky.) tallying 15 points. No. 4 Concordia (Calif.) and No. 5 Brenau (Ga.) round out the rankings with seven and five points, respectively.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches from the NAIA Swimming & Diving Coaches Association. The final poll will be released on Feb. 22.
