KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jura Levy of Oklahoma Baptist has been named NAIA National Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and Larissa Wilden of Mount Mercy (Iowa) has been tabbed as the NAIA National Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Levy and Wilden were selected based on their performances from Jan. 28 - Feb. 3.

For the second time this year, Levy is recognized nationally for her efforts in track events. A senior from Trelawny, Jamaica, finished with a NAIA top time of 23.62 in the 200 meters. Hosted by NCAA Division I Nebraska, she beat sprinters from Florida, Kentucky, Illinois and Baylor at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational Feb. 1-2. She finished second in the 60 meters (7.33), improving on the NAIA's No. 2 mark. Levy teamed up with Stacy Warrior, Taylor Moore and Aspen Marical to take top medal honors in the 4x400 relay with a clocking of 3:50.19. That effort is the top time in the NAIA this season.

Wilden, a senior from Clinton, Iowa, set two school records and a pair of personal bests at the Hilltop Invitational, hosted by NCAA Division III Cornell (Iowa) Feb. 2. She improved on her NAIA leading mark in the high jump with a record leap of 1.72 meters (65-4 ¼) to finish first overall. She also won the 60-meter hurdles with another school and personal record of 9.12 seconds. That time hit the NAIA "B" qualifying mark. In the 200 meters, she took third (27.59) and was a big reason the Mustangs took home a team victory.

The next Athlete of the Week announcement will be on Feb. 13. For the complete Athlete of the Week calendar, click here.
