KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jimmy Hall of Asbury (Ky.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Swimmer & Diver of the Month for the 2012 - 2013 season, the national office announced Wednesday. Hall was selected based on his performances in the month of February and is the final honoree of the season. He was chosen out of a pool of candidates nominated by NAIA men's swimming & diving programs.
Hall, a Barbourville, Ky., native, set three new school records in the 200-meter individual medley, 200-meter breaststroke and 400-meter freestyle relay in the Appalachian Swim Conference Championships. In the 200-meter individual medley, Hall finished in a time of 1:56.67 breaking the school record by a full second. He also broke the 200-meter breaststroke school record by two seconds when he finished the event by clocking a time of 2:12.31. Hall and his teammates broke the school record in the 400-meter freestyle relay, with a second place finish in a time of 3:09.07.
