NAIA Men’s Swimming & Diving Final Coaches’ Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Oklahoma Baptist tallied four first-place votes and collected 28 points to top the final regular season edition of the 2012-13 NAIA Men's Swimming & Diving Coaches' Poll, the national office announced Friday. Oklahoma Baptist has been ranked No. 1 all season.

The Bison boast NAIA individual top times in several categories: Vitor da Francis (200-meter breasktroke), Daniel Ramirez (50-meter freestyle, 100-meter backstroke, 100-meter butterfly), Andrew Nelson (1,000-meter freestyle), Max Abreu (200-meter butterfly) and Danys Noyles (one-meter six-dives, three meter six-dives). Oklahoma Baptist also holds the top time in the 200- meter freestyle relay, and 200-meter medley relay.

Holding steady at No. 2 is SCAD Savannah (Ga.), who received the last first-place vote and tallied 19 points. Jumping two spots to No. 3 is Concordia (Calif.) with 14 points. Union (Ky.) fell one spot to No. 4 this poll notching 10 points. Joining the Top 5 this week is No. 5 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) with six points.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches from the NAIA Swimming & Diving Coaches Association. The postseason poll will be released on March 8.
