KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second time this season, Julian Taylor of William Woods (Mo.) has been named the NAIA National Men’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Taylor was selected based on his performance from April 1 – 7 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated group golfer of the week selections.

Taylor, a native of York, England, led William Woods to its third team title of season with a first-place finish at the William Woods University Spring Invitational at the Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Mo., April 1—2. The sophomore shot a 5-under par 139 (70-69) en route to his second-consecutive victory – fourth of the season. He topped a field of 76 golfers from 12 teams and was one of only three golfers to finish under par.

Taylor currently owns the NAIA’s fifth-best scoring average (71.0), while also ranking fourth in par 4 scoring (4.06). His previous National Golfer of the Week honor came on March 27 after a victory at the Eagle Invitational in Daytona Beach, Fla., March 18—19.

The next Men’s Golfer of the Week will be announced on April 17. For the complete 2013 Golfer of the Week schedule, click here.
