KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the third-straight week, Texas at Brownsville locks down the No.1 position in the ninth regular-season edition of the 2013 Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 poll, the national office announced Tuesday. One of two unbeatens, the Ocelots collected all 23 first-place votes and a total of 653 points. The rest of the top-nine ranked teams held from last week.

Texas at Brownsville, who collected 23 first-place votes and 653 points, has dominated its competition this year -- the Ocelots have swept 25 of 29 opponents and only dropped five sets overall (out of 92 total sets). The Ocelots stand as the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Red River Athletic Conference tournament, which begins Friday. For more information on conference tournaments, click here

No. 2 Concordia (Calif.) checks in with 632 points this week and a 20-1 overall record. The Eagles are currently 10-0 in the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and lead the standings by 1.0 games over No. 3 Biola (Calif.). The two programs are slated to clash on Nov. 16 in the GSAC regular season-finale.

For the eighth-consecutive time, Biola locks down the No. 3 ranking with 611 total points. No. 4 Madonna (Mich.) holds the most wins in the NAIA (34) and is the other team with an unblemished record at 34-0. This week, the Crusaders pulled in 590 total points. No. 5 Northwestern (Iowa) rounds out the top five with 569 total points.

No. 17 Georgetown shifted up three spots for the best improvement this week. Conversely, No. 24 Eastern Oregon, after losing two matches to unranked teams this past weekend, tumbles 14 positions.

No. 23 College of Idaho, with 196 points and a 14-9 record, is this week's newcomer. This is the first ranking for the Coyotes since the Preseason Top 25 (Aug. 20) when they were No. 6.

Missouri Baptist, who has been hovering in-and-out of the Top 25 the past three weeks, falls out in this edition.

Thirteen of 23 conferences are represented throughout the Top 25, led by the Golden State Athletic Conference with five ranked teams, Concordia, Biola, No. 10 Vanguard (Calif.), No. 11 The Master's (Calif.) and No. 14 Westmont (Calif.). The Great Plains Athletic Conference and Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference each land three programs in the poll.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and independents. The 10th regular-season Top 25 will be announced Nov. 12.
