BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Missouri Valley University posted two NAIA Men’s Volleyball Weekly award winners this week, as senior setter Will McCracken earned the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Setter of the Week honor and sophomore Ding Hui was named the NAIA Libero of the Week.
Lourdes’ Jo’Lon Clark earned the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week, announced on Monday.
McCracken and Hui helped lead Mo Valley to a perfect 5-0 record last week. McCracken dished out 11.9 assists per set, along with 1.2 kills per game and 1.4 digs per set.
Hui averaged four digs per set and on 102 passing attempts he had just one passing error for a passing percentage of 99-percent.
Clark and the Gray Wolves entered the NAIA Top 10 poll for the first time in 2014 and the junior outside hitter was on top of his game with an average of 4.47 kills per set and a hitting percentage of .301.
The Compton, Calif., native also had 1.8 digs per set and nearly a service ace per set. The next NAIA Men’s Volleyball Players of the Week will be announced on Feb. 24, 2014.
