NAIA Hall of Famer (1996) and legendary men's basketball coach Del Harris will be recognized with the 2013-14 Coach John Wooden "Keys to Life" Award this weekend at the Final Four in Dallas.

The award, which is named for the late John Wooden, has been given annually since 1998 by Athletes in Action and Fellowship of Christian Athletes to esteemed coaches and players during the “Legends of the Hardwood Breakfast.”

Coach Harris is a graduate of NAIA institution Milligan College (Tenn.), and then moved to Earlham College (Ind.) and coached there for nine seasons, compiling an impressive 175-70 (.714) record, including a 25-5 record, a conference title and an appearance in the NAIA National Championship Tournament in 1970-71.  Today, Harris still remains the leader in wins and winning percentage in Earlham history.

Some of his other awards and honors include NBA Coach of the Year, Indiana Hall of Fame, NAIA Hall of Fame, Earlham Hall of Fame and the Milligan Hall of Fame.

The NAIA truly congratulates coach Harris on this prestigious award that focuses on character.
