NAIA Division I Menís Basketball Player of the Week Ė No. 2 (Dec. 13)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Shyke Smalls of Montana Western has been named the NAIA Division I National Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Smalls was selected for his play during the week of Dec. 5 – Dec. 11 and was chosen out of the conference and Association of Independent Institutions award winners.
NAIA Division I Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Shyke Smalls, Montana Western
6-1 Sr., G, Great Falls, Mont.
• Smalls recorded 34 points in 32 minutes of play and 43 seconds of play in the Bulldog’s win over then-No. 6 Carroll (Mont.).
• Shot 52 percent (13-of-25) from the field and 92 percent (11-of-12) from the free throw line.
• Smalls’ posted a career-high 34 points, 25 of them coming in the second half.
• This is his first-career National Player of the Week award.
