2017 NAIA Women's Tennis National Player of the Week - No. 3 (April 5)

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Sara Andrade of LSU Alexandria (La.) has been named the NAIA National Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Andrade was selected based on her performances from March 27 – April 2 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

Sr., Vigo, Spain

• Over NCAA Division I Grambling State (La.), Andrade won in both singles and doubles by a score of 5-0.
• Against fellow NAIA opponent in No. 9 Xavier (La.), Andrade earned 5-4 victories in both singles and doubles to help her No. 13 LSU Alexandria team improve its record to 12-0.
• Extended her season’s singles record to 7-2, and remains undefeated in doubles at 12-0.
• This is Andrade’s first National Player of the Week honor.
