KANSAS CITY, MO. – Tony Floyd of Madonna (Mich.) has been named the NAIA National Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Floyd was selected for his performance from Sept. 3 – Sept. 9 and was selected out of a pool of conference/association of independent institutions award winners.

• Floyd ran a 24:56 to finish second place out of 302 runners at the Calvin Knight Invitational
• The junior finished the race only 3.3 seconds behind the first place runner
• Floyd helped Madonna to a third place overall finish, in front of Cornerstone, Indiana Tech, and other WHAC programs
