Partner with an NAIA Conference to host a Championship Opening Round. 

Revenue:

Host shall retain sponsorships, ticket sales, room rebates and concession and merchandise revenue share.

Facility Requirements:

Facility must have submitted and been approved as an NAIA Basketball “Certified” facility.

Priority is given to facilities "Class A" certified facilities, while secondary consideration is given to "Class B" and "Class C" facilities.

Regulation collegiate basketball court; arena facility with seating capacity of 1,000 minimum with a minimum of 4 quality locker rooms. Also, concession and souvenir space must be made available.

 

Class A:

 

  • A wood floor court measuring 94 feet by 50 feet with current NCAA regulation floor markings
  • 1000 minimum seating capacity
  • 200 minimum reserved seating with fold down seating and chair backs
  • 3 goals with nets and a glass backboard (2 goals for the game and 1 backup) – Men only
  • Shot clocks mounted on top of each goal.  Clocks must illuminate when the clock hits zero
  • An electronic scoreboard showing home team score, away team score, period, time on clock, team fouls
  • Possession arrow visible
  • Back up game clocks
  • A fully functioning high quality sound system
  • ADA compliant seating for spectators
  • Minimum of 5 quality locker rooms for teams and officials ( 4 team locker rooms and 1 officials locker room)
  • 23 padded chairs for each team bench
  • Space for a full service concession area with hot food for spectators
  • Souvenir space in a high traffic area with close proximity to power and internet
  • A court side area for press (min 10 seats) with internet (password protected)
  • A minimum of 2 analog phone lines for radio broadcasts
  • A designated area with hardwired internet connection to live-stream games minimum upload speeds of 15Mbps (every game will be streamed)
  • Parking for fans, team bus, officials, and staff
  • HD Videoboard

 

Class B

 

  • A wood floor court measuring 94 feet by 50 feet with current NCAA regulation floor markings
  • 1000 minimum seating capacity
  • 3 goals with nets and a glass backboard (2 goals for the game and 1 backup) – Men only
  • If the basketball goals come from the ceiling, a maintenance staff will have to be onsite in case repair or replacement is needed.
  • Shot clocks mounted on top of each goal.  Clocks must illuminate when the clock hits zero
  • An electronic scoreboard showing home team score, away team score, period, time on clock, team fouls
  • Possession arrow visible
  • Back up game clocks
  • A fully functioning high quality sound system
  • ADA compliant seating for spectators
