2018 NAIA Women's Soccer Players of the Week (Sept 18)

Women's Soccer - Oklahoma City

Kansas City, Mo. – Matilda Ovenberger of Keiser (Fla.) has been named the NAIA National Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Kirsten Thomas of Oklahoma City has been named the NAIA National Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. The two student-athletes were nominated for their performances during the week of September 10 – 16 and were selected out of a pool of conference and Association of Independent Institutions award winners.

 

Defensive Player of the Week

Kirsten Thomas, Oklahoma City

Sr., GK, Keller, Texas

  • Recorded two shutouts, including one against then No. 14 Oklahoma Wesleyan in a 0-0 tie.

    • Two shutouts in 200 minutes

 

Offensive Player of the Week

  • Recorded her first career hat trick against Florida National, now leads the team in goals
