2018 NAIA Women's Soccer Players of the Week (Sept 25)

Women's Soccer - Southeastern

Kansas City, Mo. – Uchenna Kanu of Southeastern (Fla.) has been named the NAIA National Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Caitlin Dumond of Martin Methodist (Tenn.) has been named the NAIA National Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the National office announced Tuesday. The two student-athletes were nominated for their performances during the week of September 17 – 23 and were selected out of a pool of conference and Association of Independent Institutions award winners.

 

Defensive Player of the Week

Caitlin Dumond, Martin Methodist (Tenn.)

Jr., GK, Harker Heights, Texas

  • Recorded the win against then-No. 15 Georgia Gwinnett on the road.
  • Weekly Stats:
    • One shutout
    • 10 saves

 

Offensive Player of the Week

Uchenna Kanu, Southeastern (Fla.)

Jr., F, Abia, Nigeria

  • Has a goal in every game this season and leads the NAIA in goals scored with 24
