2018 NAIA Football Players of the Week Week Nine

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Jaylen Lowe of Langston (Okla.) has been named the NAIA National Football Offensive Player of the Week, Nickai Poyser of Marian (Ind.) has been named the NAIA National Football Defensive Player of the Week and Brady Jansen of Grand View (Iowa) has been named the NAIA National Football Special Teams Player of the Week, the national office announced Monday. The three student-athletes were nominated for their performances during the week of October 22 – 28 and were selected out of a pool of conference award winners.

 

Special Teams Player of the Week

Brady Jansen, Grand View (Iowa)

Jr., K, Johnston, Iowa

  • Hit game-winning, 40-yard field goal with 13 seconds remaining against Culver-Stockton (Mo.)

    • Three Field Goals

 

Defensive Player of the Week

Nickai Poyser, Marian (Ind.)

Jr., LB, Round Lake, Ill.

  • Set new single game tackles record with 28
  • Weekly Stats:
    • 10 solo, 18 assisted tackles

    • One pass breakup

 

Offensive Player of the Week
