KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Manuel Medina of Antelope Valley (Calif.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Gabriel Greenfield of Huntington (Ind.) has been named the NAIA National Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday.
Medina and Greenfield were selected based on their performances from Oct. 29-Nov. 4 and were chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

Manuel Medina, Antelope Valley (Calif.)

- Antelope Valley’s Manuel Medina followed up his Week 9 NAIA Player of the Week with a record-setting performance, scoring six goals in a 12-1 over Pacific Union (Calif.) in the Pioneers’ season finale. The senior forward from La Puente, Calif., netted the first three goals of the game, one more before halftime, and kicked in two more over the final 45 minutes, as well as chipping in with an assist. His goal barrage brings his season total to 31, ranking him No. 1 in the NAIA. Medina also leads the nation in goals per game (1.720), total points (68), and points per game (3.780).

Men's soccer defensive player of the week
Gabriel Greenfield, Huntington (Ind.)
- Greenfield gave up just one goal in each of last week's tourney games. As the 6th-seed, HU upset 3rd-seed Bethel and then beat IWU to advance to the CL finals for the first time in program history.
