NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Player of the Week No. 1

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Sharmaine Wills of Siena Heights (Mich.) has been named the NAIA National Women's Basketball Div II Player of the Week, the National office announced Tuesday. Wills was selected over a pool of nominees based on competition from Nov. 19-25.

  • Recorded a double-double in both of SHU's games over the weekend in which the team finished 2-0 and won the 2018 SHU Thanksgiving Tournament. Wills had an 18-point, 12-rebound performance in the 80-75 overtime win in the championship game against Np. 4 Saint Xavier (Ill.). For her efforts, she was named to the all-tournament team.
    • Averaged a double-double in four games with 13.3 points and 10.6 rebounds.
    • Posted 18 points and 12 rebounds in upset over No. 4 Saint Xavier (Ill.)
