KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tres Leon of Cumberlands (Ky.) has been named the NAIA National Wrestler of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday.

- Leon had a great showing at the Midland Classic as he went 3-2 against NCAA Division-I opponents.
- As the lone NAIA wrestler in the field, Leon notched an 18-1 tech fall against Nolan Baker of Northern Illinois to advance to the next round.
- After falling to the consolation bracket, Leon knocked off tenth-seed Cole Martin (Wisconsin), who is ranked 16th in NCAA Division 1, before defeating Christian Kanzler (Illinois) in a 9-5 decision.
