Lynn Meredith Named Heart of America Athletic Conference Assistant Commissioner

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference and commissioner Lori Thomas has announced the hiring of Lynn Meredith as the first-ever Assistant Commissioner, effective March 1. His role with the Heart will include overseeing marketing strategies, television broadcasting and assisting with conference postseason event management.

Meredith is President of HSC Media, a marketing consulting company specializing in branding strategies and promotion for small business and athletics. Prior to HSC Media, Meredith was Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the NAIA. His previous marketing and management experience includes leading digital media groups in radio, television and website development. He has also been an athletics director, sports information director and football coach at NAIA member institutions.

“Lynn is a great addition to the Heart team,” said Thomas. “Personally working with him at the NAIA national office, Lynn brings great passion for small college athletics and will be an integral part of the continued effort to increase conference exposure and enhance championships for student-athletes and coaches.”

About the Heart of America Athletic Conference

Founded in 1971, the Heart of America Athletic Conference expanded to 14 member schools from Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska for the start of the 2016-17 academic year. The conference manages 20 intercollegiate varsity sports programs and all 14 schools are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
