LINCOLN, Neb. — (Day Two Results: Team | Individual | Third Round Pairings) Top-ranked SCAD Savannah (Ga.) holds a three-stroke lead through 36 holes at the 2014 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championships. The 20th annual event is being contested at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb.

The Bees, who qualified as the The Sun Conference Tournament champion, followed up their day one performance by shooting an identical 16-over par 304 (608, 304-304) to overtake defending national champion Oklahoma City. The Stars carded a national championships-low 14-over par 302 on day one to pace the field, but shot a 21-over par 309 to fall to second place on day two (611, 302-309).

Cumberlands (Ky.) (618, 310-308), William Woods (Mo.) (624, 307-317) and Coastal Georgia (625, 308-317) round out the top five after two rounds of play.

After 36 holes, sophomore Daniela Martinez of Northwood (Texas) paces the 144-player field at 2-over par (146, 72-74). Martinez recorded an ace on hole No. 2 as part of an even-par 72 round yesterday and has also accumulated five birdies through two rounds of golf at the national championships.

Urizar carded a 1-under 71 for the lone under-par round of day two action, moving from a tie for 20th to a tie for second in the process.
