Ellingson, a senior from Aberdeen, S.D., threw 15 scoreless innings to set Presentation’s single-game innings pitched record and lead the Saints to a 1-0 win over Dakota State (S.D.) on April 26. He also established a new program standard for pitches thrown in a single game with 179. Ellingson scattered five hits, while striking out eight and walking none. In addition to being a school record, the innings pitched total is the most by an NAIA pitcher this season.
Peschon, a native of Lake, Iowa, hit .625 (10-for-16), including seven extra base hits (four doubles and three home runs), to help lead the Red Raiders to a 5-0 week that included a pair of doubleheader sweeps of Great Plains Athletic Conference rivals Morningside (Iowa) (April 24) and Dordt (Iowa) (April 26). The junior outfielder also recorded nine RBIs, nine runs scored, six walks and two stolen bases. Peschon reached base at least once in every game, including a 3-for-3 effort, highlighted by a double and home run, against Dakota State (S.D.) on April 21.
On the season, Peschon is second in the NAIA with 13 home runs and fifth in slugging percentage at .769.
