Oklahoma City Rolls Past Central Methodist, 74-39
Oklahoma City (27-3) shot 47.5 percent (29-of-61) from the field and 64.0 percent (16-of-25) at the free throw line. The Stars outrebounded Central Methodist, 40-35, while forcing the Eagles into 28 turnovers en route to the 35-point victory. With the win, Oklahoma City extends its championship win streak to six games, including three-straight games with a 20-plus point margin of victory, dating back to last year.
The Stars opened the game on a 24-4 run, led by seven points from center Katie Hall and forward Desiree Jeffries. Oklahoma City kept its foot on the gas throughout the remainder of the period, extending its lead to 39-15 at the break.
Oklahoma City was 15-for-33 (45.5 percent) from the field in the first half, while Central Methodist converted only 13.6 percent (3-of-22) of its shots.
Central Methodist would pull no closer than 23 points, 41-18, early in the second half.
Oklahoma City's Lauren Gober led all scorers with 17 points on 6-of-16 shooting, while also grabbing a game-high eight rebounds. Hall was second on the team with 15 points, as eight of the 10 Stars that saw action scored at least two points.
Central Methodist, who ends the season with a 25-8 record, was led by Sammie Gathercole and Nakia Robinson's six points each.
