SIOUX CITY, Iowa - (Box Score) It might not have been pretty as No. 21 Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) committed 27 turnovers in the game. However, the Wolves upset No. 9 Concordia (Neb.), 66-60, in the first game of day two of the State Farm-NAIA Division II Women's National Championship. The Wolves avenged its 21-point loss to the Bulldogs in the second round of last year's championship.

Cardinal Stritch and Concordia were locked up in a back and forth battle as the game was tied nine times and there were nine lead changes. The Wolves looked to be in control early in the first half as they pulled ahead by eight points early. However, the lead would not last as the Bulldogs came right back and took the lead right before halftime, but the lead did not last as the Wolves took a two point lead at halftime, 35-33.

The seesaw battle continued in the second half as neither team wanted to take control of the game. With the game tied at 60, Liz Neitzel hit a jumper to put the Wolves up two and her teammate, Julie Raeder secured the win for the Wolves by hitting four free throws to cap of a 66-60 upset over Concordia.

Raeder was one of three Wolves in double-figures leading the team with 14 points and five assists. Bailey Morris scored 17 points for the Bulldogs.

The Wolves advance to Friday's second-round game, where they will face the winner of the No. 6 Davenport (Mich.) or No. 25 College of Saint Mary (Neb.). The second round game will take place at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
