KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that the 2013 Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship semifinals will be broadcast live on ESPN3. Tipoff of the first game is scheduled for 6 pm, with the second game tipping at 8 pm.
The final game of the championship will be televised live on the CBS Sports Network March 19, with tipoff at 7:30 pm.
"We're excited to offer NAIA championships on ESPN3 for the first time," said Jim Carr, NAIA President and CEO. "And we are thrilled that three games of our most popular championship will be part of a national broadcast package."
The previous 28 games of the men's Division I championship will be available live via pay-per-view video streaming on NAIA.org. (The NAIA's other three basketball championships also are available via live pay-per-view on NAIA org.)
"This agreement with ESPN3 is a first step toward having more of our championships available on a wider variety of platforms to meet the needs of our fans," Carr said.
Neil Harwell will handle the play-by-play duties, with Rich Zvosec providing color analysis for both the ESPN3 and CBS Sports Network broadcasts. Niles Media Group will serve as the production company for both broadcasts, which will be offered in high-definition (HD) quality.
