Players of the Week - No. 2
Remmich, a 5-11 junior forward from Wichita, Kan., scored six goals to help MidAmerica Nazarene to a 3-0 week. After going scoreless in the 1-0 victory against Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) on Sept. 5, he notched the game-winner in the 1-0 triumph over Friends (Kan.) on Sept. 9. Remmich finished the week by slashing the Mount Mercy (Iowa) defense for a school-record five goals in the 8-2 victory on Sept. 10. Overall, he ranks fifth in the country with nine goals and sixth in total points (18).
Winstanley, a 5-10 senior goalkeeper from Stone, England, was impressive for Illinois Tech at the Waterford Lodge Tournament hosted by Bethel (Ind.) held from Sept. 9 – 10. He was credited with nine saves in 180 minutes of action and allowed just one goal in two matches. In the 4-0 shutout of Indiana Wesleyan, he posted six saves to earn his second blanking of the season. In the 2-1 upset over No. 19 Bethel, Winstanley stopped three shots on goal. He ranks 23rd in the NAIA in saves per game (6.3).
