KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Tiosha Beasley of Campbellsville (Ky.) has been named the NAIA National Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of The Week and Verone Chambers of Oklahoma Baptist has been honored as the NAIA National Women's Track Athlete of The Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Beasley and Chambers were selected based on their performances from April 9 - 15. Chambers is the third-straight Bison to win the award this year.

Beasley, a junior from Bowling Green, Ky., earned two "A" standards and shattered a pair of Campbellsville records at the NCAA Division I Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers Relays on April 14. Taking second in the long jump with a distance of 19' 11", Beasley's mark is tops in the NAIA this year by more than one foot and the best in the last three seasons. Her triple jump leap of 39' was good for third overall and stands No. 2 in the NAIA this year. The former school records were previously held by Beasley and accomplished on April 7.

Chambers, a senior from Clarendon, Jamaica, established a NAIA season-high in the 400-meters at the John Jacobs Invitational hosted by NCAA Division I University of Oklahoma on April 14. She finished first in the event with a clocking of 52.71. She also ran a leg in the 4x100 relay team (45.44), which is listed No. 1 on the NAIA national list.
