NAIA Women’s Swimmer & Diver of the Month – No. 3

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Hannah Legg of SCAD Savannah (Ga.) has been named the NAIA National Women's Swimmer & Diver of the Month, the national office announced Friday. Legg was selected based on her performances in the month of February. She was chosen out of a pool of candidates nominated by NAIA women’s swimming & diving programs.

Legg, a sophomore from Fairhope, Alabama, broke the Bees all-time record in the 400-Yard Individual Medley at the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships in Charlotte, N.C., on Feb. 14. She placed fifth of 18 in the 400-Yard Individual Medley, fifth of 24 in the 200-Yard Butterfly and eighth of 48 in the 200-Yard Individual Medley at the event, helping SCAD Savannah place fifth among the 14 participating colleges. The Bees were first among NAIA programs, finishing behind NCAA Division II Wingate (N.C.), NCAA Division II Queens University of Charlotte (N.C.), NCAA Division III Johns Hopkins (Md.) and NCAA Division II Limestone (S.C.).

On the season, Legg owns the NAIA top time in the 200 Individual Medley (2:07.65) and the 400 Individual Medley (4:30.59). She also holds the No. 2 time in the 200-Butterfly (2:05.30), the No. 3 time in the 100-Butterfly (57.48), the No. 8 time in the NAIA in the 200-Freestyle (1:56.91) and the No. 10 time in the 200-Backstroke (2:08.97).
