Men’s Tennis Player of the Week – No. 3

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Deni Zmak of Embry-Riddle (Fla.) has been named NAIA Men's Tennis Player of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Zmak was selected based on his performances from March 25– 31 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated group player of the week selections.

Zmak, a freshman from Pula, Croatia, was 4-0 last week, including 2-0 in No. 1 singles and 2-0 in No. 1 doubles. Zmak helped the Eagles defeat No. 8 Xavier (La.) on March 28 by defeating Loic Didavi, who is ranked fifth in singles by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, 6-1, 6-1. He followed that performance by defeating the No. 1 doubles team of Xavier, 8-5.

The next day against Northwestern Ohio, Zmak continued his winning ways. He was victorious in singles, 6-2, 6-4, and doubles, 8-2. Zmak holds a singles record of 13-1 and a doubles record of 11-3.

The next men’s tennis Player of the Week will be announced on April 10.
