KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Matthew Clowes of Concordia (Ore.) has been named NAIA National Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and Raheem Cowan of Briar Cliff (Iowa) has been selected as the NAIA National Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Clowes and Cowan were selected based on their performances from Jan. 13- 19.

Clowes also qualified in the 800 meters with a time of 1:54.17.
Cowan, a junior from Hartwell, Ga., brought home the title in each of his three events at the Dordt (Iowa) Indoor Invitational. He won the triple jump with a mark of 14.94 meters, which meets the standard for automatic qualification for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championship. He also bested the field in the long jump (6.91 meters) and ran the anchor leg for the Chargers’ 4x400 meter relay team that crossed the finish line with a time of 3:25.20.
