Player of the Week - No. 7
The two-time Tachikara-NAIA First Team All-American fueled the eighth-ranked Sunbirds to a pair of four-set Golden State Athletic Conference wins over the past week. In the victory over No. 12 Biola (Calif.) on Oct. 11, Gregusova paced Fresno Pacific with 23 kills and 18 digs. She followed that up with 25 kills and 25 digs in the win over No. 14 Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.) on Oct. 15. For the week, she posted a .320 hitting percentage.
The selection of the 6-1 senior from Nitra, Slovakia, means the award has now gone to student-athletes from five different countries this season. Gregusova, who also received Player of the Week honors on Sept. 29, 2009, leads Fresno Pacific with 224 digs and ranks third with 170 kills. In 2010, she placed 10th in the NAIA with 4.44 kills per set.
The next Player of the Week announcement will be on Oct. 25.
