KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Oklahoma Christian’s Alasdair Dalgliesh has been named the NAIA National Men’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Dalgliesh was selected based on his performances from March 26 – April 1 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated group golfer of the week selections. The honor is the second such award for Oklahoma Christian since weekly golf honors began in 2011. The Eagles’ Oscar Stark received the award on March 23, 2011.

Dalgliesh came away with medalist honors in a loaded field in the Battle at Primm in Primm, Nev., held March 26 – 27. The sophomore from West Sussex, England, carded a three-round 69-69-70–208 on the way to a first-place finish out of 81 competitors from 16 different schools, including eight ranked in the Top 25. Dalgliesh’s eight-under-par effort, two strokes better than second-place Darryn Els of Wayland Baptist (Texas), powered Oklahoma Christian (294-283-285–862) to its third title out of four tournaments this spring.

The next Men’s Golfer of the Week will be announced on April 11.
