KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tennessee Wesleyan’s Michael Alread has been named the NAIA National Men’s Golfer of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Alread was selected based on his performances from April 16 – 22 and was chosen out of a pool of conference/independent/unaffiliated group golfer of the week selections. The honor is the first such award for Tennessee Wesleyan men’s golf since it began in 2011.
Alread shot a 66-73-70 – 209 in the three-round Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament April 16 – 17 to take medalist honors for the second-straight season at the event.
