2011 NAIA Baseball Preseason All-Americans Announced
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – California Baptist and LSU-Shreveport have landed a trio of players on the 2011 NAIA Baseball Preseason All-America Team, the NAIA announced Friday. Thirteen programs are represented on the list, including defending Avista-NAIA World Series champion Cumberland (Tenn.).
The 17-player list includes four players that were distinguished as 2010 Second Team All-Americans, including Sharif Othman of California Baptist, Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Aaron Wilkerson, Phillip Reamy of Embry-Riddle (Fla.) and Wayland Baptist’s (Texas) Kevin Hennessey. In addition, 12 of the 17-player list were 2010 Honorable Mention All-Americans.
The Preseason All-America team was chosen by the NAIA All-America Selection Committee.
The NAIA Baseball Preseason Coaches’ Top 25 poll will be released on Nov. 16.
